The weekend is approaching, when the land lease agreement for the 2025 hunting year will be finalized, and after walking the new hunting ground, in the quiet, hidden, game-concealing thicket judged to be the best spot, near game trails, watercourses, and wallows, at a distance of around 25m from them, in accordance with the prevailing wind direction, I can set up my own stand, with a feeder, a salt lick, and a clean, good field of view.
Once the suitable spot has been chosen, this operation usually takes several more hours.
The result is that during the hunts to come, there will be no need to worry about shaping the surroundings, overhanging branches, setting up the stand, etc.
Of course, the trail cameras also get placed at such times, which provide a lot of useful information about the game visiting the feeder — their sex, age, habits, behavior, degree of wariness, and of course the time and duration of their visits.
If I had the opportunity to set up more than one feeder — even just 2 — then my plan would be to offer, every month, on a long weekend I have already reserved, a hunting opportunity to a member of the Hungarian Bowhunters’ Association (one or two people at a time).
With accommodation, full hospitality.
Of course, entirely free of charge.
Simply for the sake of good spirits, building relationships, and exchanging and sharing professional experience.

The moonlight paints the sky pale,
The night’s magic spreads over the land,
To stalk the bloodthirsty boar, the wolf,
The brave hunter sets out at this hour,
This is a splendid life, this befits a man,
It tempers the muscle and gives good cheer,
Forests strike watery echoes off the rocks,
So the cup rings out more beautifully and merrily.
