I’ve "stumbled" onto an amazing spot.
I can’t get enough of the pictures and events the cameras keep sending me.
The fact that in broad daylight, at high noon no less, my feeder is hosting an entire sounder of pigs . . . that would have been unimaginable at the previous location.
For a simple, anthropomorphic biological organism harboring a hunter’s soul, this is nothing short of the ultimate dream come true!!! 🙂
At dawn, at 3:42, two pigs arrived at the feeder, then a little later, startled, they hurried off. The cause of the fright was the arrival of a seriously sized, middle-aged boar, who then leisurely rooted around for a good several minutes.
Even some serious boars are visiting this forest wellness spot. I definitely need to find a spot suitable for a stand here . . .
Now that the trees and bushes have nicely leafed out, the lush undergrowth is starting to sprout up, you can see how nicely my feeder blends into the landscape.
