Even some serious boars are visiting this forest wellness spot.

These frosty mornings lately have been drawing the local wildlife to the scattered corn. Because of their fast metabolism, the roe deer set aside their caution and are now regularly visiting this secluded, undisturbed little feeder even during the day.

Before hunting season, after a thorough stocktaking, culling, and organizing, everything I need for spending my free time usefully — or almost everything — is now "housed" in the Outdoor Room. At dawn, at 3:42, two pigs arrived at the feeder, then a little later, startled, they hurried off. The cause of the fright was the arrival of a seriously sized, middle-aged boar, who then leisurely rooted around for a good several minutes.
