After many attempts and solutions, the final technical setup for tank mounting and winching seems to have come together.

Compared to the current state, I only planned one further modification:
I’ll secure the tank with a 4-meter-long, 8 mm forestry connecting chain.
This way the parallel hook can safely hold the tank in any lowered position.

Currently the lowered tank is held by the winch rope during refilling, as well as during maintenance, programming, or battery replacement of the automatic feeder heads.

All other equipment has reached its final level of development.
The new Petzl double pulleys performed perfectly, and the swivel eyes on them proved very useful.
This is because, while lifting the load, some kind of twisting forces also arose on the 6 mm, 7×19 strand wire rope, which twisted the pulley system slightly.
Although this didn’t interfere with operation, I didn’t like it.

The pulley covers, which open independently of the carabiner attachment, proved to be a great solution for threading or re-threading the rope.

I never would have thought I’d spend this much energy building an automatic feeder.

When, in pursuit of the set goal (a dual-dispenser feeder system with at least a one-month cycle time, safe and simple to operate), there’s room for independent thought, creativity, and experimentation.

In the current state, the equipment and its load capacity:

– Eder gasoline-powered Powerwinch 500: (500 kg pulling force).
– 60 m, 8 mm Amare Dynaforce winch rope (breaking strength 7,400 kg)
– 2x Petzl Spin L2 double pulley (3,600 kg)
– 2x Kong Ovalone DNA Twistlock locking carabiner (4,000 kg)
– 2 m Pewag JOKER V Grad steel chain, 8 mm (breaking strength 8,000 kg)
– 2x Uni-Lock connecting link, 8 mm (breaking strength 8,000 kg)
– 1x Uni-Lock connecting link, 10 mm (breaking strength 12,000 kg)
– 1x connecting link for 8 mm, 5/16" (breaking strength 8,000 kg)
– 1x connecting link for 10 mm, 5/16" (breaking strength 12,000 kg)
– 1x Pewag parallel hook for up to 8 mm (breaking strength 12,000 kg)
– 3 m 7×19-strand, 6 mm sailing wire rope (breaking strength 2,000 kg)
