A special sequence of shots from the life of the large forest wallow near my new feeder.
Unfortunately, I can’t see the wallow itself from the stand, but numerous muddy, dripping, greasy trails lead in the direction of the feeder.
Because of this, there’s good reason to hope that the wallow’s appeal will spill over into traffic at my feeder as well.
In the early-spring afternoon heat, a bachelor group of 12 stags, just at the start of antler growth, came in for a bit of cooling off.
They noticed the trail camera, but it clearly didn’t bother them much in their resting and splashing about.
