In the clearing of the alder forest, at the undisturbed feeder, despite the full moon (experience shows game is much more cautious in a moonlit forest), there was lively activity through the night.
First came the lone group of 5 piglets, then, around midnight, the larger party of 2 sows and 11 piglets arrived.
Both groups of guests lingered for almost exactly 25 minutes each, nibbling on the regularly scattered corn.
The sows finally found the covered almond-wood log filled with corn, which kept them occupied for a little while.
The boars’ activity at the feeder makes the planned weekend hunt look very promising . . .
